Probably an ill-fated attempt to 'strat-ify' the design. By the way, if it does not have body binding, it should probably be referred to as an E'Lite rather than a Cadillac. The E'Lites were a bit lower on the food chain and are not as decked out with features like the Cadillac. E'Lites usually are more plain and have dot inlays like your example above. If it is an import (Korean, Japanese or Chinese) guitar that was built before 07 -08, your serial number will mean essentially nothing. Anyway, it's a Cadillac body shape. The person that took the pics said there is no serial number in any of the usual places. Also, nowhere is it marked where the guitar was made (USA or import). It's apparently newer (not one of the old, 70's ones). But the pickguard, lack of any info markings, and even the finish look different than any of the Cadillacs I've seen. Any ideas of whether this is an import or US model?
